Senior Account Manager – Business Development

The Senior Account Manager (or sales rep) is responsible for overseeing and driving the sale of products or services from beginning to end within new customers. This individual is the direct point of contact with a customer and in charge of ensuring a customer’s needs and expectations are met. The sales representative will be expected know the DuraMark Technologies products or services inside and out in order to guide their customers through the purchase process efficiently and satisfactorily. The Account Manager will be expected to sell the entire product platform of DMT.

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acquires new customers (Prospects) by reaching out to provided leads
  • Develop their own list of Prospect leads
  • Stays abreast of and researches customer’s individual or business purchase needs
  • Serves existing customers by optimizing current purchase patterns
  • Adjusts sales tactics based on tests and new insights in the field
  • Resolves customer complaints and queries by utilizing appropriate internal resources
  • Stays ahead of and informs management of purchase pattern changes
  • Achieves monthly sales goals as determined by Executive Management
  • Conducts their own market research and stay abreast of competitor activity and landscape.
  • Makes recommendations and solves pains for the customer
  • Maintains documentation of customer contact and account updates
  • Gathers all critical data points and samples to facilitate accurate and efficient pricing response

 Sales Representative Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (ideal but not required)
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in B2B Manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years experience pressure sensitive label printing technologies and sales (i.e. Flexo, Screen, Digital)
  • Proven customer management/development skills
  • Basic “Communication Technology/Software” proficiency (i.e. email and/or Virtual Meeting)
  • Proven prospecting and lead development skills
  • Self-Starter and Individual Goal Setting attitude
  • Territory management/planning aptitude
  • Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and financial goals
  • Proficiency in business software:
  • Microsoft Office
    • Must be able to efficiently operate within the software and also create their own spreadsheets, PowerPoint Presentations, Word Docs, etc.)
  • CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics, etc.)
  • Travel & Expense Software (Expensify, Concur, etc.)

Additional certifications and professional development experience

  • Sales training (i.e. Sandler)     
  • Product Training (PS Labels, Unsupported Films, or Retail Cartons and Packaging)   
  • Application Equipment Training (Digital, Screen, and/or Rotogravure)
